Our trams can only stop at the stops shown on the map. We are not able to stop at the modern tram stops.
The map uses Google Maps so you can use it to plan your visit.
You can check our operating days, journeys and running times on our timetables.
For Coastal & Promenade Tours
You can board our Coastal and Promenade Tours only at our North Pier & Tower Heritage Tram (northbound) stop. It is directly opposite the modern tram’s southbound (Starr Gate-bound) platform on the sea-side of the tracks. Take care when crossing. Look out for our Yellow and Green Sign.
You can leave the tour at any of the intermediate stops on it but please check which are included in our service for the day of your visit.
For Illuminations Tours
Illuminations Tours can be boarded only at Pleasure Beach Heritage Tram stop. You’ll find it about 100m south of the modern tram’s Pleasure Beach stop and opposite the main gates to the Pleasure Beach. Walk a few metres south (away from the Sandcastle Water Park) until you see the tram tracks loop away from the main tram line. Just along there you will find our Heritage Tram Stop. Look out for our Yellow and Green Sign.
You can leave the tour at Bispham, Cabin, North Pier & Tower or Pleasure Beach on the return leg of your journey.
Arriving By Train
If you arrive by train at Blackpool’s main North Station you will currently need to make the short walk (0.4m/8 mins) downhill toward the Promenade whilst the new Train/Tram interchange is being built.
Alternatively you could catch a bus from just outside the station to either of our tour starting points. Please use the Blackpool Transport journey planner or app for journey options.
Arriving by Tram
The nearest modern tram stops to our tour start points are:-
- North Pier & Tower Heritage Tram Stop – get off at the modern tram’s North Pier stop. If you were travelling south (toward Starr Gate) you will find our Heritage Tram stop immediately across the tram tracks (take care crossing the tracks). If you were travelling north (toward Fleetwood) you will need to walk back south for about 100 yards, staying on the sea-side of the tram tracks and, just before you get to the Wedding Chapel, you’ll see our green & yellow stop Heritage Tram Tours sign on a tram pole.
- Pleasure Beach Heritage Tram Stop – get off at the modern tram’s Pleasure Beach stop then walk south (away from the Sandcastle Water Park) until you see the tram tracks loop away from the main tram line. Just along there you will find our green & yellow Heritage Tram Tours sign.
There is plenty of car parking in Blackpool but at the height of the season and especially during the Illuminations, parking spaces can be difficult to find.
