Join us for a weekend of Heritage Tram events and celebrations on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September, as we mark 136 years since the Tramway first opened on 29th September 1885!
As ever, we have a weekend packed full of tram tours, bus tours, depot tours and more. Find out what’s going on below.
Heritage Tram Tours
We’ll have up to 6 Heritage trams running each day between 10:30-17:30 offering frequent timetabled tours with hop-on/hop off availability at all heritage stops with trams operating to various destinations along the tramway.
Heritage Day Travelcards can be bought on any tram/bus on the day or from the Blackpool Transport app costing only £15 adult, £7 child. This allows travel on bus, modern trams and daytime Heritage Trams (not valid on Illuminations tours).
Individual tram tours can paid for onboard each tram, costing £5 adult/£2 child for any tour as far as Little Bispham and £7 adult/£3 child for any tour operating to Cleveleys or Fleetwood.
Some Tram Tours can as ever be pre-booked online in advance too!

Heritage Depot Guided Tours
We’re delighted to welcome back a renewed Depot Tour at our Rigby Road depot for our anniversary weekend and beyond. Guided tours will take place on both days, with future depot tours planned every Wednesday thereafter for the remainder of 2021 as part of our future plans for a Heritage Visitor Centre.
Tours will take place at 13:00 & 14:30 on both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th. Each tour will last approximately 75 minutes and cost just £5 adults / £2.50 child (all children must be accompanied by a person over 18 years of age).
All money raised from the Depot Tours will contribute directly to the restoration of our Heritage Tram depot. Read more about our fundraiser here.
You must book your guided Depot Tour in advance as spaces are limited to 15 people per tour. Bookings will be available online shortly.
We’ll also have our Shop Tram open for the event and a small selection of static trams on display on Blundell Street.
