Heritage Tram Technician
Blackpool Transport’s busy heritage department is looking to appoint a Heritage Tram Engineer to work with our dynamic team in our unique and historic Rigby Road Tram Works.
You will be a part of our highly skilled engineering team that maintain, restore, and conserve Blackpool’s iconic heritage tram fleet for future generations to enjoy.
The work will range from the overhaul of operational vehicles to complete rebuilds including the manufacturing of new parts when hundred-year-old originals are no longer available. Experience in Milling, Drilling, Lathe work and Boring is essential.
Working as part of a team, combined with some solo working using your own initiative, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for excellence and a commitment to produce fine craftsmanship to an exacting standard.
The role will be primarily days, Monday to Friday, but at busy periods and to meet service demands, it will be necessary to work evenings and weekends. It is guaranteed 37 hours per week and the rate of pay is £14.58 per hour.
