Volunteer Seasonal Heritage Tram Conductors
Blackpool Transport’s busy heritage department is looking to appoint Volunteer Seasonal Heritage Tram Conductors to join our dynamic team in our upcoming Illumination season.
You will be a part of our award winning team with a passion to keep the history of Blackpool moving along the famous promenade.
As a Heritage tram conductor, you are responsible for safely loading and unloading passengers at our tram stops, issuing appropriate tickets, collecting fares and correctly paying in the revenue taken, providing exceptional customer service and being an ambassador for the heritage trams and our wonderful town.
This role will be predominantly in evening during the illuminations with duties starting from 1700hrs and finishing approximately 2200hrs however start times may vary due to the changing of switch on times. We will also have daytime duties which are usually 1200hrs to 1700hrs. We have private hires, special tours and enhanced weekends so you can be involved in a variety of duties and can be very flexible.
The only thing we ask, is that you volunteer at least 10 duties in between the months of September to December in order to satisfy the company safety competence requirements.
Applicants should be smart, have a mature approach and be willing to integrate with a dedicated and passionate, customer focused team. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential, you must be medically fit to PCV standard and be able to pass industry standard assessments.
The closing date for this position is Sunday, 18th August 2024 and interviews and testing will take place on Friday, 23rd August 2024, with a view of training to take place from Monday 9th September to Wednesday 11th September.
