Morecambe Vintage Bus Day – Sunday 19th May 2024

On Sunday 19th May, the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust (RVPT) is hosting its Vintage Bus Running Day in Morecambe!

We’re taking our 1980’s open top Leyland Olympian double deck bus between Blackpool and Morecambe for the event and you can travel in style with us! See our booking calendar below to secure your spot.

In the event of poor weather conditions on the day, we will take our 1980s Leyland Atlantean instead.

What’s happening?

The RVPT will be operating a free bus service when you arrive in Morecambe, complete with a fleet of vintage buses. The routes will run from Carnforth Railway Station, Happy Mount Park and Heysham Village to Morecambe Football Club and Promenade.

The day will be filled with plenty of activities for both young and old:

  • Film and sound archives
  • Memorabilia
  • Food and drink
  • And of course, vintage buses!

Times for the event

0830: Our Leyland Atlantean departs from Rigby Road depot to Morecambe.

0930: RVPT bus routes begin service every 10/15 minutes.

1630: Our Leyland Atlantean departs Morecambe.

1800: Arrive back in Blackpool.

Prices

Adult: £10

Child: £5

Both adult and child tickets are valid for the return journey too.
