Queen's Jubilee Parade and Events

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Parade and Events

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is the kind of celebration you only experience once in your life and with good weather forecasted, you certainly won’t want to miss out. Have you heard about what we’re doing to honour the occasion?

Between Wednesday 1st – Sunday 5th June you’ll be able to witness one of our biggest tram parades, hop on frequent Jubilee special tours and experience themed tours. Let’s see what’s on.

Wednesday 1st

In the build-up to the Jubilee celebrations, you’ll have the chance to take a truly British Tour. Our Afternoon Tea Tour takes you for a trip along the promenade before indulging in a selection of sandwiches, cakes and beverages in the impressive Blackpool Tower Ballroom. All after your ride down the coastline. Book on here.

Thursday 2nd

Tram Parade

We’re kicking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee off in style as one of the biggest tram parades in decades will roll down the coast! Consisting of at least a dozen trams, you can witness the parade anywhere along the promenade between Pleasure Beach and Bispham. Our convoy will leave the Pleasure Beach at 14:30 so grab a deck chair and enjoy the display in celebration of the Queens Platinum Jubilee in Blackpool!

Hop on / off Tram Tours

Shortly after the parade, we will be running additional Jubilee special Promenade Tours. From 4pm – 7pm, you can hop on our frequent Promenade Tours anywhere between Pleasure Beach and Bispham, departing at whichever Heritage stop suits you too!

Running roughly every 15 minutes, you won’t be waiting long for one of these. Jubilee Special Tours are just £5per Adult and £2.50per Child, you can pay in cash or card when you board.

Our Western Train will take centre stage on Thursday night. You can finish off Thursday with great views on an iconic tram thanks to the two Evening Tours we have lined up at 19:00 and 20:15, a great way to round off a great day. Book on for the Western Train on an Evening Tour here.

Aside from our great tours, there’s more fun to be had at the Tower Headland, from free entertainment throughout the day, to light shows and fireworks. Click here to read about what Visit Blackpool have planned for the Queen’s Jubilee.

Friday 3rd

We’ll be running more frequent Promenade/Coastal Tours on Friday. With more tours on offer, you can catch the popular open-top tram and take advantage of the great weather, as well as the 100-year-old Bolton 66 tram to give you fantastic sights on the top deck. See the times and book on here.

Our Fish & Chip Tram Tours are another great way to honour what being British is all about. A locally sourced and fresh Chippy served to you during your ride of the Golden mile and beyond sounds pretty ‘true to Blackpool’ to me! Running at 18:45 only, book now.

Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th

There’s a Guided Depot Tour on Saturday to show you how we build and operate on bespoke trams and to see the range of historical trams we house in our Depot. Check that out here.

A brand-new Real Ale Tour starts on Saturday the 4th. If you love ale you’ll love this. During your tour, quench your thirst with our own Crafty Conductor, a locally brewed blonde ale, as well as an Indian pale ale- Wonky Donkey! After your iconic ride of the coast with a twist, go behind the scenes and see how it’s all made in a brewery! For only £12 each, see the new experience here.

Saturday and Sunday will see plenty of Promenade/Coastal Tours too. You can secure your seat now or just meet us at the North Pier Heritage Tram stop for a round trip to Bispham via the Golden Mile or a full-length visit to Fleetwood with time to explore, on a Coastal Tour. Plan your tour and see their times here.
